Amy Pounds

Amy Pounds, 51, of Irvington, Alabama, passed away on March 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with Gallbladder cancer. Amy was diagnosed in September 2025 and faced her illness with unwavering strength and determination. She never allowed cancer to diminish her spirit, remaining positive, hopeful, and fiercely determined throughout her journey. Her mental and physical strength were truly remarkable, and she put up a fight that words can hardly capture. She was a woman whose presence filled every room. She was strong, outspoken, and full of life, yet carried a softness that made her truly special. Her love knew no limits and her kindness touched everyone she met. With a heart that cared deeply, she made it a point to check on loved ones, and be a listening ear all while carrying her own burdens. She always had guidance to offer, and unwavering support. Her humor, her sacrifices, and her beautiful smile will forever leave an indention in our hearts. Her greatest pride was being a wife, and mother to her children. She described being a mother as “the greatest joy of my life” she loved her family so deeply and fiercely. She would walk through fire for them without hesitation. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Weldon Foust; her children, Madeline Wilson (Steven), Caleb Foust (Emily), Trenton Foust, Darolyn Foust, and Gunnar Foust; her parents, Thomas and Loretta Pounds; her siblings, Teresa, Tony (Stephanie), Katie (Rick), and TL (Andrea); her nieces and nephews, Ayla, Liam, Kyle, Ellie, Emiliana, Mila, Jett, and Meyer; her mother-in-law, Barbara Foust; and her brothers-in-law, Warren Foust (Stacey) and William Foust (Tara). Great aunt; Lisa Siano (Tony) She was preceded in death by Willy Joe Foust. Until we meet again, you will always be our greatest love and our strongest peace.
