Ronnie Chancey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronnie Lynn Chancey, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who left this world on April 19, 2025. Ronnie was born on November 16, 1966, in Gulf Shores, Alabama, to Linda and Ronald Chancey. He lived a life marked by love, hard work, and an unwavering dedication to his family. Ronnie was predeceased by his brothers Wesley and Robert Chancey, as well as his father, Ronald Chancey. He is survived by his devoted mother, Linda Chancey, his sister Lori Davis, and his four cherished children: Linda Marie Underwood, Caitlyn Chancey, Casey Chancey, and Ronnie Chancey. Ronnie also took immense pride in being a grandfather to Christian Underwood and Delilah Peterson, who brought him endless joy and laughter. Throughout his life, Ronnie was known for his kind-hearted and caring nature. He was a hardworking man who poured his soul into every endeavor, whether it was captaining a shrimp boat or driving an 18-wheeler. His dedication to providing for his family was unwavering, and he approached every challenge with strength and resilience. Ronnie had a passion for fishing and cast netting, activities that allowed him to embrace the beauty of nature and share treasured moments with his loved ones. He found great joy in listening to music, often relishing in the melodies that filled his home and heart. His talents were evident in the way he connected with others, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. Family was everything to Ronnie, and he created a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He had a unique ability to bring people together, making each gathering a celebration of life and laughter. His spirit will live on in the countless memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to share in his life. A funeral service to honor Ronnie’s memory will be held at Fisherman’s Baptist Church on May 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM. We invite family and friends to come together to celebrate the extraordinary life of a man who touched so many hearts. Ronnie Lynn Chancey will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends, a shining example of love, kindness, and strength. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before him.
