Norma Yvonne Nelson

Norma Yvonne Nelson, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the age of 88. Yvonne was a native of Little Lagoon in Gulf Shores, AL and a resident of Bon Secour, AL. Yvonne is preceded in death by her loving parents, Eddie and Alice Dubuisson, loving daughter Linda Langer, loving daughter-in-law Bonnie Jean Nelson, grandson Peter (PJ) Nelson, grandson William (Billy Boy) Parks III, grandson Charles Thomas Nelson, and great-grandson Brantley Kade Nelson. Yvonne is survived by her loving husband of 70 years Fred (Peter) Nelson, her son-in-law William (Billy) Langer of Bon Secour, AL, her daughter Glenda Garris (Joe) of Gulf Shores, AL, her three sons Buster Nelson of Bon Secour, AL, Frankie Nelson (Karen) of Bon Secour, AL, and Johnny Nelson (Deborah) of Robertsdale, AL. She is survived by 18 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Born on January 12, 1937, Yvonne lived a long and blessed life filled with faith, love, and devotion to her family. She relentlessly served and contributed to building a life and legacy alongside her husband in the shrimping and seafood industry located in Bon Secour, AL. Together, they owned and managed Aquila Seafood for 49 years. In her spare time, she loved taking her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to Disney World. She loved everyone and never met a stranger. All that knew her, loved her. Yvonne will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A celebration of Yvonne’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Fisherman Baptist Church 17117 River Road, Bon Secour, AL 36511. The family will be accepting visitors at 9:30am. The service will be at 11:00am, followed by a graveside service. Honorary Pallbearers John (Butch) Forsythe, Steve Etheridge, Ronnie Black, Frank Nelson, and George Nelson. Pallbearers William (Billy) Langer, Charles (Charlie) Nelson, George (Georgie) Nelson, Michael (Chandler) Aho, Zachary Black, Levi Nelson, Darren (Little D) Williamson, and Brandon Williamson. Yvonne’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, support, and kindness shown during this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Cason Funeral Service in Foley Alabama
