In Loving Memory We celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman, Martha Diane Finn — known lovingly to so many simply as Diane. Diane was born on July 25, 1952, and passed on June 29, 2026, in Fairhope, Alabama — a place she came to call home and where she built a beautiful life filled with meaning, connection, and love. She grew up in Childersburg, Alabama, rooted in family and friendships that would stay with her throughout her life. After high school, she moved to Montgomery, where she worked at AT&T for nearly 20 years — a testament to her dedication, strength, and work ethic. But Diane was never one to stand still. In 1993, she began a new chapter in Fairhope, embracing life with curiosity and purpose. Over the next 33 years, she continued learning, working, and most importantly — connecting. In 2009, Diane found a job that truly fit her spirit at the Foley Beach Express toll bridge in Orange Beach. It wasn’t just a job to her — it was a joy. She loved meeting people, talking with strangers who quickly became friends, and sharing moments with people from all over the world. Diane never met a stranger — and anyone who crossed her path knew it. Even after retiring from the toll bridge, her love for people never faded. She worked at Greer’s grocery store in downtown Fairhope, not because she had to, but because she wanted to stay connected — to see faces, share stories, and brighten someone’s day. That was Diane. She was a light in people’s lives. She had a way of knowing just what someone needed to hear, offering kindness, wisdom, or simply a listening ear. Her friendships spanned decades, and her impact reached far beyond what any of us can fully measure. But above all else, Diane’s greatest joy, her greatest pride, and her whole world was her daughter, Tasha, and her granddaughter, Willa. Her life revolved around them. The love she had for them was deep, unwavering, and unconditional. They were her heart. Diane is survived by her Daughter Tasha Finn (Cj), her beloved Granddaughter Willa Finn, and her Nieces: Julie Owings (Jonathan) and her children Josie, Reyna, and Caroline Munoz, Megan Finn (Corey) and her children Skylar, Noah, and Kyndall; and Angeline Crawford and her children Alex and Finn Crawford — along with many other cherished family members. She is reunited now with those who went before her: Father - Ira F. Finn, Mother - Willie F. Finn, Sister - Judy M. Crawford, Brother - Timothy “Timmy” I. Finn and Nephews- Marcus “Marc” E. Crawford, and Manuel Munoz. Diane’s life was not measured in years alone, but in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed — not only by her family, but by the many friends and strangers who were lucky enough to know her, even if only for a moment. And while our hearts ache in her absence, we carry her with us — in every kind word, every warm smile, and every moment we choose to connect with others the way she did so effortlessly.
