Julie Julka

Julie Julka, 76, of Foley, AL passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born Julie “Jill” Ann Schubert on April 28, 1949 in Annapolis, MD. She was the first of 5 beloved daughters born to Jack and Marie Schubert. She met the love of her life, Merle Julka in College Park, MD after graduating high school. They were married on July 29, 1968 and together they built a beautiful family and life together. Julie, along with her husband and children owned and operated Wall to Wall Interiors, an interior decorating business, for almost 40 years. Julie was known for her excellent taste, design savvy, creativity, honesty, integrity and above all her kindness. Julie cherished her many friendships and was just as deeply loved in return. She shared especially close connections with her church community, her bunco girls, her Mardi Gras circle, and the many customers who, overtime, became treasured lifelong friends. Julie played an important role at her church helping raise funds for mission trips and faithfully teaching young children in pioneers for many years. Ms. Julie will certainly be missed. She is survived by her 2 beloved children. Her son, Brad Julka (Mandy) and her daughter, Jenny Beviacqua (David) Her precious grandchildren. Josh Carr, Bryan Beviacqua (McKenzie), Joey Beviacqua (Ashleigh), Jackson Julka, Alyssa Stalcup (Brett) and Annie Julka. Her cherished great grandchildren. Blakely and Enzo Her beautiful sisters. Debbie Titelman(Bob), Bonnie Byrd(David), Sheri Wilson(Larry) and Tammy Fusco(Tim) And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers in law and sisters in law She is preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Merle Joseph Julka; her parents Stafford Owen and Marie G Schubert; and many other cherished loved ones. A memorial service will be held at Grace Fellowship in Foley, AL on Saturday March 7th at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the mission fund at Grace Fellowship, a ministry that was especially close to Julie’s heart. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Julie’s love for her family and friends was greater than anything else in this world.
