Angela Manders

Angela Michelle Manders January 9,1970-September 19, 2025 Angie is the daughter of Mary Kaye Armstrong Kennedy and Buster Kennedy, who lovingly cared for her daily and through a lengthy battle with dementia, she passed away surrounded by family on September 19,2025. Angie is survived by her brother, Billy Manders, her sister Missy Manders Thompson, Brother in Law, Ormand Thompson. Nieces: Caroline Thompson (Taylor Renfroe), Melanie Chandler Thompson, Nephews:Bennett Thompson and Percy Manders. Great niece, Camille Renfroe. Angie leaves behind her Aunts Judy Armstrong Boswell and Libby Armstrong (Elmer) Thomas, and many cherished relatives and friends. Angie attended Augusta Evans School for Special Needs and eventually worked in Mobile Association for Retarded Citizens in Mobile. Angie continued to work at Associan for Retarded Citizens Baldwin County in their linen service. Angie spent years as the “Face for United Way” attending rally's, luncheons and events. She played on a special needs soft ball team and spent Summers at Camp ASCA and Camp Smile for Special Needs Campers. Angie loved to meet people and make friends wherever she went, she was always the life of the party. Angie loved parties, family reunions, concerts, trips, fireworks and parades...she was the Special Rider for the Maids of Jubilee Parade in Fairhope and the yearly “Queen” Title on our float in the Daphne Fire Truck Parade. Angie's favorite thing was traveling in the Motorhome with her family and 4 dogs...to the Alabama Crimson Tide's home games in Tuscaloosa. They camped and traveled all over the country when the Tide wasn't playing. Angie held the Title “Alabama Crimson Tide's Biggest Fan"! She wore Alabama clothes daily and filled her room with Crimson and White... she met coaches and players throughout the years and even passed out her Alabama's Biggest Fan business cards to anyone she met. Angie was cremated and will be buried in a family plot in Tuscaloosa AI Tuscaloosa Memorial Park Cemetary (5434 Old Birmingham Highway) at 11:00 on Friday November 28th with a small graveside service.
