Margaret Lee

April 2, 2022

Margaret "Peggy" Lee July 21, 1949 - April 2, 2022 Margaret "Peggy" Lee, age 72, a resident of Robertsdale, Alabama passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 2, 2022 at 12:39pm. Peggy was born in Patterson, New Jersey. She graduated from St. Cecilia High School in Englewood, New Jersey and graduated in 1971 from Catholic University of America with a B.A. in Speech Pathology and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She married Richard Lee on August 21, 1971 and promptly moved to Austin, Texas where they lived for 27 years as they raised three sons. In 1998, Richard & Peggy moved to Amarillo, Texas and in 2006, relocated to Robertsdale, Alabama. Peggy loved Broadway and film score music and was an avid fan of films and movies, especially the classics as attested by the home television usually set on the Turner Classic Movies channel. Peggy possessed a great sense of humor and her smile would brighten anyone's day. She excelled in expressing herself through writing as evidenced by the many journals she kept throughout the years, as well as the lengthy text messages she often sent to her loved ones. Peggy was one of the strongest women her family has known as she battled chronic and worsening respiratory ailments for many years with unwavering bravery and resilient faith. Her family is thankful for how peaceful and pain free her last moments were as she passed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. Peggy will always be remembered for what an immensely nurturing and compassionate spirit she exhibited for all those around her as well as how intensely she loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. While she will be deeply missed by all who knew her, we are comforted in knowing she is now face to face with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ celebrating her new life free of all pain and suffering. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Anne Majewski. She is survived by her husband, Richard Lee, her three sons: Derek (48), Daniel (43), and Jonathan (41), her older brother, Paul Majewski, her younger sister, Anne Godfrey, her nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held to honor Peggy's life on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2pm at LifeSprings Church located at 15611 W State Hwy 29, Liberty Hill, TX 78642. A time of fellowship and light refreshments (featuring some of Peggy's favorite foods!) will be provided after the service in the church's fellowship hall. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please send donations to either of Peggy's two favorite charities: St Jude Hospital (fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/GiftFunds/GiftFunds?px=7453240&pg=personal&fr_id=39300) or Circle of Hope Community Center (circleofhopecc.org/donate)
