George Alfred Labbee Nov. 4th 1951- April 30th 2022 Mr. Labbee was born and raised in Jefferson, Mo to the proud parents Ohren and Minervie Labee. He had 5 children, Dwight Aligood, William Aligood, Angela Blackmon, Vanessa Labbee, and Allen Labbe. He had a smile and could tell jokes that everyone laughed at. He was a very generous man; he would help anyone. He served in the US Army, where he achieved the rank of SP4. He was in the 1st Battalion 5th infantry division stationed in Hawaii. He worked on the Gulf Coast from Orange Beach to Fort Morgan doing maintenance for 33 years. He retired 5 years ago and enjoyed going to yard sales and estate sales. He fell ill, and on October 21st 2021 he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. There was nothing he loved more than playing golf with his son, Dwight Aligood. He also loved playing darts and corn hole with his children when he had barbeques; which he loved doing for his family and friends. He was an amazing father, grandfather, husband, and friend. He was loved by many especially his wife, family, many friends, and his best friends, Lilly, Petry, Bobbye, Chris, and Barb. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father Minervie and Ohren Labbee, sister Dottie Goodson, and granddaughter Brittany Nichole Aligood (Peeka.) He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Brenda Labbee Elberta, AL, his 5 children, Dwight Aligood (Candace Aligood) Foley, AL, William Aligood (Elizabeth) Foley, AL, Angela Blackmon Milton, FL, Vanessa Labbee Pensacola, FL, and Allen Labee Huntsville, AL. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren., 7 grandchildren, 2 brothers Tommy Labbee (Maggie) TN, Ohren Labbee Jr. TN, 4 sisters, Linda Howell (David) TN, Vanesa Wagner (John) MO, Brenda David (Rick) MO, and Louise Yarbough MO, many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in laws, and countless friends. He was called home to the lord on April 30th 2022. It is his wish to have a celebration of life in his backyard on May 14th 2022 at 1:00pm. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the community hospice located at 1450 N. McKenzie St. Foley, AL 36535. The family thanks all who have helped during this time. The family wants to thank all family, friends, and everyone with the community hospice. A special thanks to Angie who was his Hospice nurse and to Cason Funeral Service who made this difficult time so much easier.
