Bradley John Lafleur

Bradley John Lafleur, 34, of Scott, Louisiana died Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Foley, Alabama, as a result of an aviation accident. Brad was a lifelong resident of the Acadiana area, and recently relocated to Orange Beach with his family. He was a 2002 graduate of Acadiana High School, where he shared some of his best memories on the drumline with fellow bandmates. From a young age, his parents instilled the importance of a strong work ethic, while being a compassionate soul. As a self-taught entrepreneur, and from the “school of hard knocks,” Brad was an extremely driven and motivated man. He continued to become a successful and highly respected businessman in his community. Many who knew him, and his work integrity, would say he was wise beyond his years and had a wealth of knowledge on more subjects than one can count. Brad was charismatic and never met a stranger. His infectious smile and laughter, with deep-set dimples, would undeniably brighten someone’s day. He loved his friends, family and neighbors unconditionally, and would be the first to assist anyone in need. With his love of life, and true Cajun spirit, he brought a smile to everyone he encountered. He lived his life to the absolute fullest and seized every opportunity to soak up life’s moments. Brad was an avid outdoorsman and a true man’s man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing music and had an immense passion for flying. The camp he hand- built from scratch on the Boston Canal was one of his favorite places to be. He would “pass a good time cher” while cooking, BBQ’ing, and enjoying a few cold beers. He is survived by the love of his life, Amanda, who was his wife of nine years and their three-year-old daughter, Piper, who he cherished more than life itself. He was also survived by his parents Judy and Chris, his sister, Amy and his in-laws, Missy and Greg Duplechain. A celebration of Brad’s life will take place at the Scott Events Center in Scott, Louisiana on Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 10am-6pm. A memorial with Memory Sharing will take place from 2pm-4pm. Brad would want no less than a “true Cajun throwdown,” with food, drinks, friends and family. In response to many requests, we have set up an account for Piper.
