Alice M Gruspier Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Alice Marie(Williams) Gruspier passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the age of 91 in Foley, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Gruspier, son Thomas Gruspier, two sisters June and Donna and a brother Richard. She is survived by her children, Lyne Thomson, Randi(Tom) Scheer, Gary Griswold, Norma(Steve) Kramer, Jeff(Gigi) Gruspier, Julie(Darryl) Davis, Jon Gruspier and her youngest sister Judy Plegge. Alice was the proud grandma of 13 grandchildren, Kelly, Jay, Amy, Ryan, Lisa, Nicole, Audra, Tristan, Eric, Heidi, James, Emma and Jean; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, her late father and mother, Richard and Eulalia Williams moved the family to Chicago, Illinois when Alice was in her early teens. Alice and Joe met and raised their family in the suburbs of Chicago. In her mid 50’s she earned her degree and worked as a registered nurse. She was very proud of this accomplishment. Many enjoyable summers were spent with family and friends at their Wisconsin property. Alice and Joe retired to Gulf Shores, Alabama in the early nineties. Here Alice enjoyed doing volunteer work, going on Elderhostel trips and playing bingo. A memorial service will be held at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Foley, Alabama. Friday January 22, 2021 10 am .Interment will be at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA.
