Russell C Morrison Jr

Russell C. Morrison, Jr. completed his journey here on Earth and went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 24, 2024. He faced every challenge with incredible strength and faith, and his readiness for Christ was unwavering. Russ spent 33 years with UPS, rising into management, earning many service awards, and inspiring the next generation of drivers and management to be their best. He excelled as a mentor throughout his career. In retirement, he pursued real estate in Winchester, KY. Russ was passionate about service. While at UPS, he served the United Way. His passion for service continued with Kiwanis, serving as Past Lt. Governor, Past President of the Winchester, KY club and Past President of the Foley, AL club. Russ also coached his kids' sports teams and loved helping build their pinewood derby cars for the Boy Scouts. In 2002, he and his wife were baptized at the Central Baptist Church in Winchester, KY. They remained active in the church until they relocated. In Foley, Russ and Pat found their church home at Summit Church where he served to welcome visitors. Russ was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Russell C Morrison, Sr., and his father-in-law, Fred Harris, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Pat; his three sons, Bryan (Cali) of Belgrade, MT; David of Lexington, KY; and Michael (Samantha Jordan) of Lexington, KY; his granddaughters, Bryce and Portia of Belgrade, MT; his sisters Dreatha (Mike) Ambrester and Linda Kay Gates; and his beloved in-laws, Audrey Harris, Sharon Conley, Stephen (Cheryl) Harris, Kathy (Richard) Heineman, Pamela (Ed) Smith, Fred (Kim) Harris, Jr., and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Services in Foley will be held at Summit Church (21431 County Rd 12 S, Foley, AL 36535) at 1pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Per Russ’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held in Winchester, KY with arrangements to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kiwanis Club of Foley, AL in memory of Russ Morrison (Make the check payable to the Foley Kiwanis Foundation, a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization (EIN: 83-2709695) and mail to Foley Kiwanis Foundation PO Box 576 Foley, AL 36536). Donations are also accepted via Venmo (@Foley-Kiwanis-Club) or Cash App ($2023Foley).
