Mr Roy Dallas Wigfield

August 6, 1932 – March 7, 2017 Roy Dallas Wigfield, 84, born in Freeport, Ohio, resided in Foley, AL, moved in with Jesus, March 7, 2017. He was in his home with his wife that he loved so dearly, Twynette Thompson Wigfield, by his side. Roy was survived by his sister, Peggy Kaiser and children. He was also survived by Step-Daughter Janice Thompson Hicks (Don) of Elberta, AL and Step-son Marcus Thompson (Susan), Pensacola, FL step-grandchildren: Jeremy Sullivan, Kevin Sullivan, Stacey Stilwell (Tim), Mandy Griggs, Brandon Thompson, Scott Thompson (Jennie) and Justin Thompson, as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Roy was a Veteran of the U S Marine Corp with an honorable discharge 1953. Roy loved his country and received many medals while serving his country including the Purple Heart, Korean Service, UN Service, National Defense Service, and Good Conduct Medal. Roy loved to study the Word of God; he attended Bob Jones University in North Carolina, and had a Doctor of Divinity Degree. His constant desire to read and study was obvious, always filled with questions, seeking knowledge and wisdom daily. Roy was Broker/Owner of Regional Real Estate, Foley, AL. He loved his family, loved family reunions, church gatherings, cookouts, as well as company coming over anytime. Roy just loved people, and the more he loved, the more he helped. Roy’s favorite saying was: “The Best is Yet to Come”…. He has certainly lived that out and without a doubt, Roy is in that ‘best place’ with his heavenly Father now!! Even on the back of his business card, with an image of Jesus, were these words: “If we meet and you forget me, you have lost nothing; But if you meet JESUS CHRIST and forget Him, you lost everything” with the scripture it refers to: Romans 10:9. Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Sullivan, Kevin Sullivan, Scott Thompson, Dylan Thompson, Chaiden Randall, Ken Kraich Honorary Pallbearers will be: Erby Suits, James Nowell, and Jerry Delmont, Cason Funeral Service, Foley, AL, will be handling all arrangements. Service will be held at Fishermen Baptist Church, 17101 River Road, Bon Secour, AL Friday March 10, 2017 10:00 a.m.: Visitation 11:00 a.m.: Service with military honors. Graveside service will follow at Fishermen Baptist Church cemetery. Arrangements are by Cason Funeral Service, Foley, Al.
