Robert Glenn Hill December 31, 1941 - January 27, 2023 Robert Glenn Hill was born to B. C. Hill and Mary Lou (Henley) Hill in Opelika, Al. on December 31, 1941. Glenn passed away peacefully at home in Gulf Shores, Al. with his wife by his side on January 27, 2023. While living in Opelika, Al. he owned several business: Used car lots and Restaurants: Plaza Motors, Glenn's Oyster Bar, Sea Ranch, Hooks and Horns and Rib Rack Bar-B-Que. In 2014 he decided to retire in Gulf Shores, Al. His favorite pass time was golf or reading western paperback books. Glenn was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1966. He served our country honorably for two years with a tour in Vietnam with his unit the "Big Red One ". He was awarded the "Purple Heart" during his service. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Glenda Stanford Hill of Gulf Shores, Al. Children: Robert Gregory Hill (Stephanie) of Opelika, Al. ,Lynn Hill Corry (David) Columbia, Ms. Grandchildren: Breanna Edge (Andrew) Lanett, Al., Erin Hinson (Bubba) Cusseta, Al., Morgan Hill Opelika, Al. and Jonah Corry Tylertown, Ms. Sister Bonnie Edwards Montgomery, Al. Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Gary and Jo Ann Yates Brooksville, Fl. Sister-in-law Eddie Hill Opelika, Al. and numerous nieces and nephews. Last, least, and loudest was K.C. his beloved Yorkshire Terrier. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Hazel Bartlett Brown Montgomery, Al and Jeanette Wilson Meadows Opelika, Al. Brothers ; H.L. Fairhope, Al. Harold Opelika, Al. Sister-in-law: Wathon Hill Fairhope, Al. Brothers-in law: Alford Bartlett Opelika , Al. Morris Brown Montgomery, Al. , Ralph Wilson, Gene Meadows Opelika, Al. and Earl Edwards, Montgomery, Al. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Heart or Lung Associations or your favorite Charity in his name. Mrs. Hill would like to express her thanks to Springhill Hospice in Daphne, Al. for their loving care of Glenn during this difficult time of our life. A celebration of Glenn's life will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Cason Funeral Service in Foley Al
