Obituary For Phillip G Robertson. Phillip was a funny and caring person always ready to laugh and make everyone else happy. He’s survived by his sisters, Terry E Robertson Lyle, Sylvia, L Robertson and his brother Stanley M Robertson. preceding him in death was his sister Deidra J Robertson and his parents, Lola M Robertson Matthews and his Stepfather James T Matthews. His pride and joy was his only niece Nichole S Lyle Crapper who scared him as a child when she almost fell into a shark tank while dancing on top of the enclosure when he had taken her to the Baltimore, Maryland Aquarium. Phillip knew he was dead meat if he didn’t return Terry‘s baby home in one piece !!! After the incident they redesigned the shark tank and modified their safety protocols. When Nikki got older, she became an ordain minister and every time she prayed it brought tears to his eyes. Phillip was an accomplished chef who worked in many high-end restaurants throughout Florida and the DC area. Phillip was a very caring and giving person who always fed the hungry in his neighborhood. Helping others who had less than him became his life’s mission. As a result of his caring nature Phillip received many monetary awards and plaques for speaking to people who were recovering from substance abuse. During the time of unrest in America Phillip joined the Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. Often when people would thank him for serving his country, you could hear him say “My pleasure my honor” Phillip was a happy engaging person and his longtime friends like Cynthia Perry from Baltimore, Maryland, Doris and Ray Good from Florida, Elvira Cookie Santana from Florida, Milton Devaughn From Baltimore, Maryland, Darryl Smith From San Diego, California and Anthony Tucker From San Diego, California could just make you laugh with their memories of him. Phillip had a colorful past and he and his sister Terry were partners in crime and each other‘s road dog. They always shared a tight bond. His history and memories will now be cared for by his sister. It was always amazing to see that after the Cancer and other medical issues that placed him on hospice care, Phillip was not deterred and he always remained upbeat. In his last days when friends would call him like Cynthia Perry, he would always say “I love you, Ms Perry” and she would say “I love you too honey” never failed to put a smile on his face when Doris and Ray Good would call, he’d said they were his ornaments under his Christmas tree and still today that is a mystery of what that meant.🤨 When Elvira Cookie Santana called, they would love talking about sports. When Milton Devaughn would tease him and say “Yum Yum don’t forget that you’re on me and my entire family prayer list and hold on to God”. When the songbird Darryl Smith would call, they would laugh and giggle about the good old days when he and his sister Terry lived in California. Talking to Anthony Tucker would just make him laugh about the crazy days of hanging out and partying. Phillip and Terry will always appreciate the love and support that they received from the Summerdale Church of Christ members with a special thank you to those who participated tirelessly on the meal train. Many will remember that he always called his sister Terry his Angel and tell her “I love you Ms. Lyle”and she always responded “I love you too Mr. Robertson”
