Justin Lee Stewart

Justin Lee Stewart, 35, of Foley, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly. Justin was born on January 9, 1991, in Madison. He lived his life the way he believed it should be lived—on his own terms. He had a stubborn streak and a strong will, but those who knew him best understood that it came from a place of determination and independence. Justin stayed true to himself and to the people he loved, and his loyalty to family and friends never wavered. He had a passion for working with his hands and especially enjoyed working on cars and trucks. Whether he was fixing something, improving it, or simply spending time in the garage talking with friends, it brought him peace and happiness. Justin was also known for his quick humor—the kind that could lighten any moment, or ruin one—and for the running joke that no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t catch a fish. He laughed about it every time. Justin also had a special way with kids. His nieces and nephews meant the world to him, and he loved spending time with them—whether it was joking around, teasing them, or making them laugh. He had a playful spirit and a big heart that made children naturally gravitate toward him. Being an uncle brought him a lot of joy, and the memories they shared with him will always be treasured. At the age of 15, Justin was diagnosed with diabetes, beginning a long and difficult battle that he faced with strength and resilience. Despite the challenges, he continued to live life in his own way. Those who loved him find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and free from the illness he fought for so long. Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents: Nellie and Gearld Liverseed, Kathleen Polzin, and Raymond Stewart. He is survived by his parents, Joann (Jeffery) Stewart and Jermey Stewart; his sisters, Tiffany (Chris) Snider and Katlyn (Travis) Brunette; and his beloved niece and nephews, Kristen Snider (Mark), Riley Snider (Kayd), Ryan Heidner, and Jameson Brunette. Justin will be remembered for his strong spirit, his humor, his loyalty, and the deep love he had for those closest to him. He lived life his own way, and that is exactly how those who loved him will always remember him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
