James Paradine

James Larry Paradine (“Jim” “Butch”) Beloved Husband, Father and Step-Father and Friend, at the young age of 71, he passed away on July 20, 2018 after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. Jim was born in West Virginia to Harland “Jim” and Ruby Paradine April 18, 1947 He is survived by his devoted and loving Wife, Mary Paradine, His Sister Joyce DeVaney ( Terry) of Palm Harbor, Fl , Brother Steve (Eileen) Paradine of Lake Station, In, and Sister Kim Cifaldi of Antioch, CA He is also survived by His Children, Daughter Paulette (Dave) Reed of Foley, Al, Greg (Joy) Paradine of Evansville, In, Jennifer (Seth) Schindler, of Foley, Al and his Step-Children Rebecca and Tony Bradford of Lillian, Al, Jim and Leslie Morgan of Fort Worth, TX, Brian Pizzalato of Lansing, Mi and Angie and Kyle Freidrich of Minn. His 20 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren who were the apple of his eye. And we can’t forget his loving Bear and his mother-in-law Dorothy and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Best Friend Alton Blalock of Dunedin, FL, who were friends since 6th grade and never one disagreement or argument. Best Friends forever Jim attended River Forest High School in Hobart, In graduating in 1965, then severed four years in the Air Force with 18 months in Vietnam. Afterwards he went to Indiana University where he received his degee. He retired after 30 years with US Steel Corp. in Gary, IN, then transferred to California with USS Posco. Jim resided in Foley, Al for the past 12 years where he enjoyed spending time with his family and numerous friends. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing, traveling and was always a helping hand to any one who needed it. We say goodbye to one of the most giving and caring people we had the pleasure of sharing time with. Rest in peace In accordance with his wishes, in lieu of cards or flowers, please send a donation to Operation Comfort Warriors who supply comfort items and supplies to our service men or Lukes Wings who provide airline tickets to family members while they are recovering in the hospital at Bethesda Arrangements are entrusted to Cason Funeral Service in Foley Alabama
