Huey Frank Adams

Huey “Frank” Adams November 11, 1935- January 21, 2024 Frank Adams passed away after a brief illness at the age of 88. A memorial service will be held at Orange Beach Methodist Church at 2:00 pm on Sunday January 28, 2024. Reverend Jim Kinder will officiate. He was raised in Phenix City, Alabama and graduated from Central High School. He served in the U. S. Army and was employed by AT&T for 30 years. He held multiple positions with the Bell companies and retired as a Fleet Manager for South Central Bell. He liked to say that he was retired longer than he actively worked for the company. Frank thoroughly enjoyed life. He and Carol moved around the state of Alabama during their tenures with the phone company, living in Phenix City, Birmingham and Mobile. They moved to Orange Beach upon retirement and have had a wonderful life there. His passions included hunting, fishing, biking, Atlanta Braves baseball and University of Alabama football. He and Carol enjoyed travelling the world on their many cruises. He was a master at hunting big game and quail and catching red snapper in the Gulf of Mexico. He had many hunting, fishing, biking and poker buddies. He loved his friends and was a faithful member of the Orange Beach Methodist Church. Carol was the love of his life and they enjoyed the best that life could offer. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Adams, mother Alice Nix Adams, and son Kevin Adams. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Charley Adams, Roy Adams, Robert Adams, John Adams, Larry Adams and sister, Melody Adams. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Carol Davis Adams, daughter, Valorie Adams Harbour (Charles), daughter in law Darline Adams, brother in law James Davis (Karen), sister in law Judy Crane (Buster), niece and nephew Tracy Large, Jeff Crane niece and nephew who thought of him as a granddad, , Jennifer Duck (Tommy) James David Davis (Eve), great grand nieces and nephew Will, Anna and Sarah Duck and Marzelle and Daphne Davis. Frank had a very special nephew, Tim Adams (Laura) and nephew Dabney Adams. There were many other nieces and nephews.
