Hazel Laughlin

On August 16th 2021 Hazel Louise Laughlin mostly known as Mom and Nanny went to be with the Lord. She proceeded in death by Her husband John Eric Laughlin , Parents Everett and Annie Hatcher , Siblings Wayne and Roseanne Hatcher and her grandson Matthew Graves . She was survived by her children Patricia (Larry) Thomas, Doug (Joy) Fairchild Jr , Rosie (Donnie) Wilson & Barbara Laughlin. Her Grandchildren Paul (Martha) Fairchild, Joshua (Kayla) Graves, Samantha (Robert) Walters, Justin Moseley, Jessica (Sam) Lukas, Candice Fairchild and Jordan Wilson. She had a slew of Great grandchildren & brother E.L (Shirley) Hatcher & Sister in law Vickie Hatcher and many many other family members she held dear to her heart. Hazel was born & raised in Mobile Alabama. She later moved to Baldwin Co Alabama Hazel was a loving devoted Wife, Mother, & Nanny. Her personality was so outgoing free fun and humorous. She never met a stranger. She always loved showing off her babies. She was a very proud mother grand mother and great grandmother and she made that very known. She loved the Lord and loved music, stuffed animals , her soap operas & Endless amounts of pictures. She spent her life as a Homemaker and caregiver for many years to her grandchildren. Her favorite places to be was in Church and with her family. She had a major influence in her family and because of her love and devotion she will be missed more than ever. She was the light and glue of the family. She made every family event fun and memorable with her fun and silly ways with words. She made everyone laugh and that was her goal when in a crowd. We love you and miss her so much already. Life will never be the same without her. The family wants to send a special thank you to the staff at South Baldwin Hospital for being so loving and caring to our family during this difficult time. I wanted to close with Nanny’s favorite Bible passage Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
