Ella Mae Weeks

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Ella Mae Weeks, who passed away Sunday, May 14th, 2023, at the age of 73. She was born in West Hollywood, Florida, on May 11th, 1950. In earlier years, she worked at Packard-Hughes and then recently at Family Dollar in Magnolia Springs, Alabama. She was a light and valued member at First Baptist Church as well as actively participating in the Quilting Ministry in Foley, Alabama. Mae loved nothing more than to spend hours creating beautiful pieces of art and baking for her loved ones. Her family and friends will never forget her homemade baked goods and the personalized gifts she has lovingly created for them over the years. Above all, Mae was a kind, caring soul. She had a heart of gold and always put the needs of others before her own. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her and the impact she had on their lives. Survivors include her two loving daughters, Sharon Barnicle (William) of Foley, AL, and Rhonda Graham (Todd) of Foley, AL. She was known as Memaw to three grandchildren, Ryan, Kaela, and Erin. One brother, Aaron Hobbs (Cheryl) of Robertsdale, AL, and their three children Ashley, Cora, and Ben, as well as their children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Lawrence Weeks, and her parents, Hezician and Louise Hobbs. We invite everyone who knew her to celebrate her life with us at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Foley, AL, immediately following the graveside service. My Blanket - My Momma by Rhonda W.
