Clara Ann Neuschwander

Ann Neuschwander, born to Clara and Wayne Nettles on August 5, 1947, died peacefully at her home on April 10, 2026, at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Darrell Neuschwander, and her children, Darren Neuschwander (Michelle) and Kaydra Taylor (Charles “Buddy”). She is survived by six grandchildren: Dalton Neuschwander, Rebecca Taylor, Andrew Neuschwander, Tori Taylor, Justin Taylor, and Lena Keenlyne. She has been a member of Bethel Baptist Church since 1985, where she taught 1st and 2nd grades in Sunday School and loved to sing in the choir. Ann was born and raised in Mexia, AL, and graduated from Monroe County High School. She married Darrell on April 5, 1969, at Mexia Baptist Church. She was employed by Vanity Fair in Monroeville upon finishing high school, where she worked in the accounting department. She continued her employment there until her son, Darren, was born in September 1973. She had various part-time jobs, including driving a school bus, working at Hub City Florist, and working in the office on sale days at the former Robertsdale Livestock Auction. Upon marriage, she and Darrell resided on the Neuschwander family dairy farm in Uriah, AL, for 16 years before moving to the Rosinton community of Baldwin County in 1985. Ann loved working outside, planting flowers and shrubs, and watching them grow into beautiful plants. She also enjoyed visiting many different local establishments to look at and purchase plants or flowers that were different from the ones she already had at home. Ann was a woman with a strong work ethic, and she instilled it in her children and grandchildren. She was a very good cook who fed her family well. She believed in keeping a clean house, so she spent a lot of time maintaining it. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 10:00 am at Bethel Baptist Church in Robertsdale, AL.
