Charlene Joannne Priesgen

Charlene Joanne Priesgen (Cieloha) was born on August 31st, 1962 to Harvey Louis Cieloha and Patricia Ann Cieloha (Keevan) in Mobile, Alabama. She was the fourth and last child of their union. She is preceded in death by her father, mother and her older brother Michael Harvey Cieloha who was the second child. Her first child, Philip Brandon Cieloha (who was born prematurely on November 28th, 1984), preceded her in death on October 21st, 2021 at the age of 37. Her childhood years were marked by frequent relocations and included early years residing in Mobile, then in the rural Foley area known as Yupon. The family then moved to Colorado for much of her elementary school years before returning permanently to the Yupon/Magnolia Springs area. She graduated from Foley High School in May of 1980. Her next years were restless, spent searching for her purpose. She attended training for secretarial work but met and fell in love with her lifelong spouse, Michael Priesgen. They were married on August 10th, 1985 and settled in the Silverhill area. There she added her 2 daughters Ashley Nicole and Kelsey Marie. She worked as a server for some years before being able to stay at home with her children until they were older. Charlene loved her children fiercely and she and Mike made sure to create many memories with camping trips, vacations and travel to the best of their ability. She attended the Church of Christ her entire life and was baptized at a young age. In later years, she found it difficult to attend services due to her disabilities but studied her bible faithfully and professed her belief in her savior without hesitation. She looked forward to being a grandmother and was rewarded with 6 precious grandchildren: Hayden Miller, Carson Miller, Teagen Miller, Leighton Cieloha, Hudson Warner and Everly Warner. She cherished each and every one and was known as Baybay as coined by her grandson Hayden. Unfortunately, the death of her only son hit her extremely hard and the work of grief took its toll on her. She was diagnosed with a serious disease and passed from this life just short of 2 years later. Along with the aforementioned family members, she leaves her sisters Debra McClantoc (Bobby), Judith Schwartz, her sister-in-law Lynn Pepper (Fred), maternal aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She looked forward to seeing her son Philip and her precious mother in the next life. A special thanks to all those who prayed for her and her family, notably Eric Gray of Robertsdale church of Christ. Most especially the family wishes to thank Billy Lambert of Summerdale church of Christ who prayed her final supplication to the Father to accept her into His Kingdom forever. Charlene had a bubbly personality and an infectious laugh. She had an irreverent sense of humor and was beautifully creative and talented. She loved cross stitch and made some beautiful pictures that will remind her loved ones of her talents for many years to come. She loved her pets and had many through the years, her favorites being Punkin the Chihuahua and Lulu the English Bulldog (who just recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge). She will be sorely missed by those who loved her dearly. Arrangements will be announced for a celebration of her life once they are completed.
