Betty F Allen

Betty Francis Allen was born on November 9th, 1941 and the Lord called her home on August 6th, 2021. She is proceeded in death by her husband of over 54 years, Roy A Allen. Roy and Betty were blessed with 5 children, 15 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Betty was also preceded by her daughter Cheryl Ables Carlson, her parents James and Mattie Lee Trawick and her sister Barbara Jean Clemmons. Betty is survived by one sister, Mrs. Pat (Charles) McKinley. Two daughters, Donna (Rodney) Lawrence, Shelia (James) Smith. Two sons, Tony (Shelly) Allen, Daniel Craig Allen. Her surviving 15 grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. Melissa (Tim) Jones, and Kimberly Tolbert were raised and loved in Betty’s home as her own daughters. Bobby (Autumn) Ables, James Smith, Blake (Farrin) Ables, Andrea (Blane) Cordova, Brandon Lawrence, Gena Allen, Lindsey Lawrence, Brent (Cassydi) Carlson, Blaine (Allison) Carlson, Cory Norris, Josh Hayes, Justin (Lauren) Hayes, Layton Grems. Her grandchildren has also given her 16 surviving greatgrandchildren For anyone that knew Betty knew she had a love for many things in her life. First and foremost she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus. Then came her family. She loved her family. She had the ability to make her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren all feel like they were the most important to her. The truth is she loved and took time with all. She loved her plants, her animals, and she leaves a legacy of sheltering and caring for many people through her lifetime other than her family. The doors to her home were always open to anyone that needed them. You could always find a hot cup of coffee and a sweet treat. With 31 grand and greatgrandchildren her home was always filled with the sweet sound of their laughter and she truly loved that. She could be a tough but tender woman. She was stern when you needed it, and the tender hand when it was needed most. She enjoyed most of her time cooking in her kitchen, working her cross word puzzles, and being what most people knew her as and what she enjoyed most, Nana, or Betty Ann to some. She will always be remembered for her spunk and whit. She was a gentle soul, but tough as nails when she needed to be. She was our rock and our matriarch. She will be missed dearly and loved so very much. Until we see you again sweet Betty Ann!
