Barbara Hall

Barbara (Barb) Jean Calloway Hall Barbara went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, in Foley, Alabama at the age of 75. She was born April 15th, 1950, in Logansport, Indiana to the late Kenneth Calloway and Helen Hipsher Lane. She graduated from Battle Ground, Indiana in 1968 and married her beloved Max right after high school. As a dedicated military wife she traveled with her husband to places in the continental U.S. and abroad. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, baking, and gardening in the community garden and she loved the beach. In her younger and retirement years she stayed busy helping with retail, banking, house, and pet sitting. She was a longtime active member of Orange Beach United Methodist Church where she served in United Methodist Women. She baked prolifically for the annual Christmas Cookie fundraiser and was deeply moved by joining the church mission trip to Honduras. Most recently, she was a charter member of Magnolia United Methodist Church, a new church start where she served on the first leadership team. Her Covenant Group and her Thursday Bible Study group were sources of spiritual strength and growth. She was deeply loved by her covenant sisters, bible study family, and church family. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Max, her brothers-in-law Tim Smith and Jim Taylor and niece Kristi Smith. Survivors include her siblings, Cathy Taylor of Battle Ground, Indiana, Ken Calloway (Cindy) of Battle Ground, Indiana, Donna Smith (Jeff) of Kendallville, Indiana, Jody Bush (Tim) of Vernon, Florida and Judy Smith of Smiths, Alabama and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. Also, her dear friend and caregiver, Pat Davidson. Although heaven holds her unborn children, she was God mother to Alexander, Nathaniel and Eliza Kroll. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 28th, 2026, at Magnolia United Methodist Church located at 309 E. 21st Avenue, Gulf Shores, AL starting at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to Coastal Cats and Critters, Inc. at coastalcatsandcritters.com where her precious fur babies, Dorian, Waffle, and Felix now reside.
